REGISTRATION
Click on registration button at top of screen to register for 2016 Fall Season or Summer Camps (paper forms available in links section below).
Step-by-step instructions are noted on the Fall Soccer page; for additional assistance, please check out Blue Sombreros's Registration F.A.Q.

SAY Soccer,  our umbrella organization & insurance policyholder, has amended the age group registration to a calendar year system.  Previously we have used the school year as our cutoff, which tends to keep players in the same grade together.  Please help your player make this adjustment easier for all of us.

For the soccer year of 2016,
Our youngest players will have a birth year of 2011 ... they will be five sometime that year, which would make them eligible to play U-6.
Our oldest players for our middle school team are 8th graders with a birth year of 2002.

EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES
  • All players must wear shin guards INSIDE long socks that cover the shin guard – this is an important safety measure!  If a player does not have shin guards, they cannot practice or play in a game.
  • Players must not wear jewelry, watches, metal hair clips, or ball caps.  Players are not allowed to play if they have a cast or a brace with metal in it.
  • Cleats are not required.  If a player needs cleats, we have 2 large totes with gently used cleats (some shin guards may also be available).  Pickup times will be announced.  Only soccer cleats are acceptable – no front cleat allowed.
  • Dress for the weather – as the season progresses, players should be dressed appropriately in layers.  Team uniforms should be worn on the outside of coats & sweatshirts, clearly visible to all.  Come prepared with hats, gloves, and sweatpants.

GAME & PRACTICE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Two month commitment to the team (September-October).  Your team needs EVERY player!
  • All teams will practice twice a week.
  • Once games begin, the coach will arrange the schedule for at least two meetings per week (2 games, 1 practice + 1 game, etc.).
  • Players and parents should be at the field 15 minutes before each game.
  • As a courtesy, please communicate with your coach when your player will not make a practice or a game.
  • Make every effort to make every game - every player is important!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • New rule for players 10 years & younger - there will be no heading the ball!
  • There is no slide tackling in our soccer program.  Players will be warned twice.  On the third infraction, they will be asked to sit for the remainder of the game.
  • During games, parents are encouraged to sit on the opposite side of the field from the players.
