Coaches,

I want to update the coaches as to the field availability for practices. We are working to have the fields officially open Monday 2/17 but with the holiday, it will likely be Tuesday 2/18. We apologize for the delay but we are working with the County to comply with the required contractual obligations. Please remember, I indicated at the coach’s draft meeting that we would communicate when the fields would be officially open. The County has been a great partner with us and I have confidence we will get the last issues resolved quickly.

Listed below are some of the issues that had to be completed prior to the official release:

County Contract Approved and Signed

This contract has been updated, signed and sent to the County. This was a new contract, received on the COB Feb 5^th  leaving only 7 business days for review and approval. The contract has been sent to the County for their final signature and approval.  I have asked for a field release on Monday 2/17. This contract is mandated to be renewed each season (Spring and Fall) and we will ensure that our time lines are in-sync with the mandates of the contract to avoid future delays.

Electrical work completed by EMC

The light work has been completed with confirmation as of Friday 2/14. EMC lock still in place as of Friday on light cage for fields 3-5. The timers have not been reset to spring hours due to the weather issues the County has faced this past week and their are working diligently to get our to our fields. This will not hamper opening but night practices are out until they are changed.

Restoration of  Water

Water has not been restored as of today. If we are to open, we will need to have Portal Johns place down in the lower fields and retain the ones we placed up at Field 2.

Practice Schedules 15 days in advance

This is a requirement of the contract and could not be fulfilled until Draft Night. I will submit the schedules to the County as soon as I receive them and this should be complete as of COB tomorrow.
