Dear Members,

As our league grows, we are in desperate need of help!   We currently have very few active board members and the work load to run both the travel and town basketball leagues is great but easily manageable when the load is shared.  We are currently looking for volunteers to fill the following positions:

• CPA to advise the league on tax filings

   

• Secretary (take notes at meetings, etc.)

   

• Registrar

   

• Fundraising Director

   

• Coaching Director (help with setting schedules and communicate with coaches)

   

• Equipment Manager (help keep track of the conditions of the basketballs and handle shirt orders)

   

• Assistant treasurer to help with management of funds (excel spreadsheet)

   

• Web Master (we use Blue Sombrero website hosted by Dick’s Sporting Goods)

   

• Volunteers to run each gym

   

• Girls’ division director - to help promote and recruit players.  This division is struggling.

   

• Travel Basketball Director - in charge of concessions and run the Hartnett gym on Sundays.

   

• Division 2 director to manage the 7^th and 8^th graders.  This person will also run the practice for this group.

   

• Division 4 director to manage the 3^rd and 4^th graders

   

• Division 5 director to manage the 1^st and 2^nd graders

   

• Division 1 director (grades 9-12).  This division currently does not exist.  We dropped this division 2 years ago because of low participation, but there are kids out there who would want to play in this division who don’t make the high school teams.   The director would need to recruit the kids and run this division.

   

  Please consider volunteering for the promotion of good sportsmanship and the love of basketball, the future of the league depends upon new people stepping up.
