Intermediate

Age: 11-13 (Intermediate)

The Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division was introduced in January, 2010, as a pilot program for 12- and 13-year-olds which utilizes a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths. The division was formally adopted by Little League Baseball in 2013 for players league-age 11-13 with post-season tournament opportunities, including a World Series, offers a transition for players between the standard Little League field size (46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths) and the Junior/Senior/Big League field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths). Jacksonville Beach Baseball Association began offering an Intermediate program in 2014.

Many of the Junior League rules are used such as runners being permitted to lead off bases, runners may attempt to steal at any time, and allowing an on-deck batter.

This is a competitive level that continues to stress fundamental baseball and introduce more advanced baseball techniques and strategies. Players will continue to have fun building life-time memories with their teammates.

Caln Little league firmly believes that the 50/70 division will, over time, provide more opportunities for our players and a better chance to develop their baseball skills.

All-Star tournament teams will be formed at the end of the regular season. All Managers will have input on players selected The Caln player agent and little league president will over see the selection process. The little league president will choose all Managers for each all star tournament team at Caln Little League.
