The PSC Jr. Academy is an in house introductory soccer program for ages U-4 to U-9. The program is focused on providing a fun, friendly environment for younger players to participate in soccer through the small-sided game concept. U4 teams play three players a side at a time, U6 teams play four players a side at a time and U9 teams play 6 players a side with a goalkeeper, allowing them to get many "touches" on the ball as they develop the basic soccer techniques in a family oriented environment. Coaches are parent volunteers who participate in the program with their children. Normally two training/practice session a week with a game on Saturday. Once registered, players are placed on coed teams that remain intact for the soccer year (fall and spring seasons).

These players train on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Hodges Manor from 6:30-7:30, coaches work on a league set agenda of training.  Games are played on Saturdays at John Tyler Soccer Complex.

Fees for Jr. Academy Players includes Training Tee, a Uniform (includes Jersey, shorts and socks), referee fees, insurance/registration fee paid to VYSA (our state association), administrative costs, field and equipment costs, and coach license courses.

Age brackets cutoff starting on August 1st. A player who turns on Aug. 1st or after is in that division for the season. (i.e.: if U8, turns 8)  The U stands for "under the age of". Players who are under the age before the cutoff date are considered age appropriate for the playing year (Fall and Spring).
