Cost is $30 per player unless you are a City of Newton resident.
The players will play a style of soccer called futsal, which is played on a basketball court. The ball is not played off the walls.

Registration deadline: November 17th.
You MUST fill out a registration form and take it to their office. A copy of a birth certificate is also required. I have copies of the registration packets if you'd like one. Please email [email protected] and we'll make arrangement for you to get a copy. You are responsible for getting the completed form to the Parks and Rec department.

They will not allow anyone to bring a team. All players will be placed on a team.

Age groups: 7-9, 10-12, and 13-18 years old.

Playing times: Friday Nights, Saturday Nights, Sunday Afternoons.

Striker Soccer Center is an outdoor facility that plays on artificial turf fields with walls, similar to indoor soccer. Teams play 5v5. They allow individual players and full teams to register. The cost for an individual is $65 each and a team is $520. They recommend 8 players on a team and no more than 10. Jerseys are NOT included in the winter league. Each team will play 8 games.  Each team will have 3 mid-week games and 5 Saturday games.  Mid-week games are played at night under the lights. Winter League is a GAME ONLY league - no practices.

Winter Soccer School is a 5 week course specializing in coaching for all age skill levels. Sessions start the week of December 4th.

Goals:
Help players....
Play with their head up
Go forward when possible, either dribbling or passing
Shoot at every realistic opportunity
Be available for a pass by losing opponents with quick changes of speed and direction
Tackle correctly

Registration for Futsal opens November 1st and you can register online here: https://secure.rec1.com/NC/mooresville-recreation-parks-department/catalog . Scroll down until you see "Youth Sports League", then click on "Futsal 2017-2018 Ages 8-16 Fil Wilkinson".  Hover over the choices to see the age groups. Click on the age group you want to register for.  You'll be required to create an account to register.  The fee is $100.
