Coaches Bio’s

 

Bobby Barnes (U14 Girls)

is the former women's soccer coach of Ohio Wesleyan where he coached for 19 seasons. 

Barnes guided Ohio Wesleyan to NCAA Division III championships in 2001 and 2002, and his teams set an NCAA Division III record with a 60-game winning streak.  In Barnes' 19 seasons as Ohio Wesleyan's head coach, the Battling Bishops won 5 North Coast Athletic Conference championships, won the NCAC tournament 6 times, and made 8 NCAA Division III tournament appearances.  
In addition to the 2001 and 2002 national championships, the Bishops advanced to the national quarterfinals in 2000 and to the third round in 2004.  Barnes compiled a record of 221-118-30 (.640) during his 19 seasons as head coach at Ohio Wesleyan.

 

 

Lance Barnett.  (U9/10 Girls)

Has played at Concord H.S. (Elkhart, IN) along with Taylor University (Upland, IN) He has also played with the F.C. Indiana, now Indy 11 (U.S.L.)

Selected to and a Starter for the Southern Ohio Adult Soccer Association team for the Ohio Adult Soccer Association All-Star game at Mapfre (Crew) Stadium (Top Men's amateur players and teams in Ohio) 2012. Columbus premier soccer league (Division 1 - top men's amateur league in Columbus area) 2015 - Present

His coaching experience includes the Head Coach two U-18 boys teams (Eastbrook H.S.) in College.  Assistant Coach Wright State University Men's Club team.  He has also coached Girls Recreational Teams from ages 3-7

Head Coach Delaware Lady Knights U8/U9 Academy 2017-2018 season.

 


Eric Booher (U10 and U12 Boys)

Is entering his sixth season as a Coach for DSSC.  He has coached both girls’ and boys’ teams and will be the U12 boys Head Coach and U10 boys Head Coach, as well as assisting with the U8 boys Academy team. He holds an E Coaching License and brings over 30-years of competitive hockey playing and coaching. 

 


Tanya Brehm  (U11Boys and U19 Girls)

Is entering her 11thyear as the Director of Coaching and staff coach with DSSC. She has played in many clubs growing up in Canada.  Tanya has playing experience on the provincial team in northern Canada and on the Youth national team.  Moving to the States she became involved with the assisting position on the Hilliard High Schools girls program for a year. Form there Tanya was apart of the starting force for the DSSC program here in Delaware where she has trained and coached many teams for the past 10 years from Academy to U18. 

Currently holds a USSF National "D" license

 


Anne Bryant (U9 and U13 Boys)

Anne was a member of the first all-girls league in the Westerville Amateur Soccer Association and traveled as a part of a select soccer team in the Columbus area throughout Middle and High School. She was a 4 year starter and Varsity Letter earner at Westerville South High School (Westerville, OH) as well as The University of Mount Union (Alliance, OH).

Anne’s coaching experience includes the last 12 years with Delaware Youth Soccer and the Delaware Select Soccer programs ranging in ages of U8 – U14. She’s coached in Rec leagues, the Academy program, and Select Soccer leagues. 

 

 

Mike Bryan (U9 and U13 Boys)

 Mike has played many different levels of soccer including recreational, select, and high school.

Mike has been coaching in Delaware since 2012. He has experience in goal keeper training in addition to holding his Module II coaching license.

Mike is currently coaching with his wife, Anne, the U12 Boys Red Team and the U8 Boys Academy team.

 

 

 Ranjit Charles (U11 Boys)

Played soccer for the University of Toledo.  He has coached DSSC teams for 14 seasons ranging from U9 to U14 boys, playing in the Buckeye Premier League and at highest MOSSL divisions. Six (6) of his players made the regional Olympic Development Program (ODP) and five (5) were on the President’s Cup team that made it to the Nationals in OK.   Several players that Ranjit coached are now playing for College or College Club teams.  He also took a U14 boys team and a parent group of 29 to Spain in 2012, to play in the Donosti Cup tournament which had participation from 27 countries.

Currently holds a USSF National "E" license


Brant Dye (U10 Girls)

Has played for various youth soccer clubs in WV and PA before high school. 4 year high school soccer player. 4 years division 3 soccer player at Marietta College (part of the OAC). 2 years coaching DSSC teams.  

 

 

Stephen Fisher (U11 and U19 Girls)

Has nearly 20 years of Coaching Experience. 

-    U10 through U17 Girls coach DSSC 2012-present

-    U11 through U13 Boys assistant coach Elite FC 2006-2010

-    Jr. High assistant coach Delaware Christian School MOCAL team 2011

He currently holds the Advanced Regional Diploma – NSCAA.  

Goalkeeping 1 Diploma – NSCAA.  Ohio High School Athletic Association Coaching Certificate. 

 


Jake Gibson (U12 Girls)

Has played with Delaware Hayes HS, he was a 3yr Starting GK.  2x 1st Team All Conference GK and 1996 Honorable Mention All District.  He continued his playing experience at the Wittenberg University, 3yr Letter Winner and 

2yr starting GK. 

Jake started his coaching experience at Wittenberg University as an Assistant Coach in 2001 Under HC Steve Dawson Responsible for tactics, GK Training, and administrative functions.  He conducted Various Training Sessions and Clinics (1996-2001) and GK Training 2015-2016

Head Coach Spring 2017 U10G Black Team 

Head Coach Fall/Spring 2017-18 U11G Black Team - Facilitated Development of the Individual Player and Team.  

He currently holds USSF E License 

 

 

Ryan Morrow (U11 Boys)

Has played I played club soccer for many years growing up He lettered in soccer at the Bettendorf high school. He attended Kentucky Christian University NCCAA Div 2 player  were he Went to the national tournament 01 & 03.  Her is a 2003 NCCAA Div 2 national team runner up.

Ryan had the opportunity in 2003 to be apart of coaches that helped run the Chicago Eagles traveling soccer camp ages 5-18.

 

 

 Micheal Stewart (U10 Boys)

Coach Stewart attended Olentangy High School and graduated in 1994 as a 2-year letter winner in soccer. He has been involved with the DYAA Soccer Program for 4 seasons where he began as a head coach for the rec program. In the fall of 2017 he became an assistant coach for the U9 Boys DSSC Delaware Knights.
