Team

Check-in on Saturday

Plan on

getting to the complex by 7:15 am on SATURDAY so all of our girls can check in and warm up.

Plan on leaving your house by 6:30am/6:45am at the latest (Gurnee friends plan on leaving a little earlier)

The team needs to check in prior to their first game. This will be the only time they will need to check in.

Let’s plan on meeting at the main registration tent – the Team Manager or Coach will need to bring the entire team over to the main registration tent to check

player passes. If Sarah has something else in mind, I’ll send an update.

SUNDAY

– Please have the girls at the complex by 6:30 to warm up for our very early 7:00am game.

 Directions

Name of the park is South Barrington Community Park/ South Barrington Turf Fields

Plan on 35-45 minute drive from Libertyville, our Gurnee friends add on an extra 30 minutes.

Plan on leaving with enough time to get into the complex…usually with the morning of

tournaments there is a backup to getting into the parking lots.

Food

There is a concession stand at the park (last year they had sweatshirts and t-shirts for sale, and other soccer related items).

Plan on bringing snacks for your girls and your family. Last year our family brought a cooler with sandwiches, snacks and drinks.

Restaurants close by…near the intersection of IL-59 and IL-72/Higgins is The Glen with many restaurant options (Pinstripes, Claim Jumper, etc.).

Miscellaneous for Parents

On Saturday we have a 9-12 break, Sunday we have a 10-1 break – I’ll check with Sarah to see if she has something in mind for the girls during that time. Otherwise, there may be enough time to go home, go shopping or visit friends or family in the area. I will likely stay at the fields and watch some of the other games. FYI The ORANGE TEAM PLAYS Saturday AT 10am ON FIELD 4, and then Sunday at  12 noon on field 3 – these would be good games for the girls to watch during our breaks.

Last year, it was extremely sunny and our family forgot sunscreen. Remember to bring sunscreen.

Families have also brought small tents or the larger tents for shade.

Remember to bring chairs to sit and blankets for younger siblings to stretch out, color and relax.

If raining, remember to bring umbrellas. The games will go on in the rain, unless there is lightning.

There is a very nice walking/running path that goes around the complex – bring walking/running shoes to get some exercise in between the games.

There are tennis courts on the property.
