JU Teams Advance To The Semi Finals
Jersey United Spartans 95/96B White defeated East Brunswick on Sunday to advance to Wall for the State Cup Semi Final, goals from Jeremy Kot and Evan Hawkes sealed the win against a tough opposition.
The Jersey United Spartans 94/95B Blue defeated 5th ranked Cherry Hill Phoenix 4-1 @ Cherry Hill in the State Quarter Finals to book their place at Wall. A stunning bicycle kick from Julian Light got the Spartans going before Spenser Heller added a second after Dylan Hammer's corner was headed back across goal by Tim DiBisceglie. Light added the third as he peeled away at the back post to volley home DiBisceglie's long free kick. The tie was sealed late into the second half when Dylan Hammer converted a penalty after Light was fouled in the box.
The U18's Spartans 93/94B White cruised to a 4-0 win over Jersey Knights at Falcon Field on Sunday early afternoon. A strong performance with Jeremy Robbins bagging a brace to see the Spartans 93/94B White team head to Wall and the State Cup Semi Finals for the very first time.
