Team Snacks

Half-time snacks

At half-time most coaches prefer that the kids have just fruit and water. That way, they get charged up without getting overly full. Here are some popular fruits that kids can eat fast:

- Orange slices

- Grapes

- Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Pineapple, or Honeydew melon chunks

- Strawberries

After the Game Snacks:

Providing drinks is optional, if you choose to Water or Gatorade is preferred. Also each player should provide his/her own water during the game.   

Here are a few healthy ideas for the rest of the post-game snack. Feel free to pick a snack from this list, or anything else you want to bring that is easy to take quickly away from the field.

-Yogurt sticks to-go (frozen yogurt sticks are great any time of day)

- Whole-grain graham crackers

- Whole-grain muffins with low sugar

- Granola bars

- String cheese and whole-grain wheat crackers

-Apple sauce

-Peanut butter on celery sticks

-Bananas

- Carrot sticks

- Veggie Chips

- Baked snap peas

-Goldfish crackers

- Pretzels

- Trail mix made from cereal, nuts, raisins, pretzels, chocolate chips, etc.

Does anyone on the team have a peanut allergy or any other allergy that they would like to inform our team about? Please advise us if there are any snacks we should avoid.
