GSA 96 ECNL sisters earn All-Region honors

Armstrong State University sophomore forward Jenny Allen and sophomore defender Michelle Allen were recently each named to the second team of the D2CCA All-Southeast Region Women's Soccer Squad.

Jenny Allen earns a second-team forward spot for leading the Pirates in goals scored (12) and points (29) in her second season at Armstrong State. She was also selected to the NSCAA All Southeast second team. The first-team All-Peach Belt Conference performer and 2014 PBC Freshman of the Year is already tied for fifth all-time in goals scored for the Pirates. She was a first-team honoree last year as well when the awards were sponsored by Daktronics and CoSIDA.

Meanwhile her sister, Michelle, earns her first All-Region honor for helping the Pirates limit opponents to an 0.92 GAA and 9.9 shots per match at her right back position. She logged 1618 minutes of action, was the PBC's Defender of the Week on November 19th and had the game-winning goal in the Pirates' 2-1 win at West Georgia on October 13th. Michelle was selected second team All-PBC in 2015.

Armstrong State finished the 2015 season with a 13-5-3 overall record, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Championships.
