The CESC utilizes a staff of 10-15 professional coaches within our youth program. We are proud of the professional training staff that we have assembled over the last 15 years. We encourage you to view their bios by using the links to the left.
For our youngest teams - U8-U10 - the CESC appoints a volunteer parent-coach to serve as the team's Head Coach. A member of our professional staff is appointed to the team to direct the twice-weekly training sessions, assist the volunteer parent-coaches in understanding the game, and to attend home games in order to evaluate the players' progress and create a training curriculum for the following week based on the needs that they observe during the match.
Once a team reaches the U11 age group, the appointed member of the professional staff takes over as the team's Head Coach. The staff member will then travel with the team to all games and tournaments and handle all coaching functions.
Typically, at the youngest age groups, we attempt to keep a team and its appointed staff member together for a period of two years. With older teams (U11-U14) the appointed trainer may stay with the team for a period of three or more years.
Trainer-team match ups are strictly the purveyance of the Executive Board and the Director of Coaching. No input will be accepted from parents and/or players on this issue. While every effort is made to follow the previously mentioned time frame, there are sometimes circumstances which require us to deviate.
