Elite FC Boys Attend Ray Thompsett Invitational
The boys U17 and U19 teams were able to attend the Ray Thompsett Invitational this year, in the 2nd tournament of 5 that the boys will be attending this Spring season!
Up in front of another group of collegiate scouts, and great opponents, the boys were able to compete at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill SC, home of Discoveries Soccer Club programs.
On a cold and rainy weekend, the U17 boys competed in a tough division and went 0-2 on the weekend as they faced a tough TUSA (Triangle United Soccer Association) and FC Carolinas, while the U19 boys went 1-1 with wins over a West Virginia FC Alliance South team and a final Sunday draw against BFA Itagui.
Overall it was a great 2nd tournament for our boys, and you could see the smiles on all of their faces as they enjoyed the weekend and playing the beautiful game on some of the nicest fields and facilities that the states of North Carolina and South Carolina have to offer.
We will be looking forward to our next event in Myrtle Beach at the Coast Spring Classic April 13th and 14th, and cannot wait to go out and express ourselves again on the field.
Some pictures from the event are shared below. As always, stay tuned here on the site for all the latest news regarding our programs as we work to continue to grow and provide a great platform for ALL players in our area to make it to the next level through a properly planned player development program.
