NRFC is for ALL

With the 8v8 league season starting today, we want to further clarify our position in the soccer community of Robeson County and explain some of our goals and philosophies to help players and parents understand our place in the soccer community.

NRFC is not solely for St. Pauls, Red Springs, Lumberton, Pembroke, or any other city or school in Robeson County.

Our position is to support any and all players who want to develop their game.  What high school they play for, what city they're from, doesn't matter to us!  We are here to support all players during their offseason so they can DOMINATE during their high school season.

We are here to develop a club in Robeson County that can provide recreation programs, all the way thru competitive club soccer programming that has been missing in our area for a long time.

With our 8v8 League, the focus in solely on player development and helping each player improve their technical abilities as well as their tactical understanding of the game.  Our primary goal is to help each player individually improve their game, and the secondary goal is to provide an 8v8 format for the players to try out their newly learned skills during match like situations.

The 8v8 league is a fun environment for players to experiment with their new skills, try new things, and challenge themselves in a high pressure environment, without too much importance being placed on winning or losing.

This stress free and fun environment allows players to have fun playing the game, and learn the techniques that will help them dominate during their respective high school seasons.

Too much emphasis is sometimes placed on winning and losing at the local level, and our 8v8 league takes that stress off the players shoulders and allows them to crawl before being asked to walk or run.

We take pride in players development at NRFC and are looking forward to seeing all our 8v8 league participants improve their game this summer.  We are also looking forward to seeing all those players take their new skills to their home schools this upcoming fall and spring so they can dominate their game.

We would also like to note the importance of club soccer and off-season training in high school success.  This year's 4A State Champion Cardinal Gibbons mens team had a total of 13 players that participated on a club team, and 7 players that made the All-State team from different high schools that participated in the NCFC Youth's programs

Furthermore, the Cardinal Gibbons girls team were also 4A State Champions had 18 girls players that played club soccer, and this level of practice and off-season development led to a state championship caliber player.  We are hoping to help develop that same level of club play in our area, as again, it has been something that has been missing for a long time.  Iron sharpens iron, so we hope to be able to bring the best of the best together with our program to help develop the top talent in the county, so that each can DOMINATE in their own respective high school programs like Cardinal Gibbons
