Having a NCYSA Member Club in our community and area that provides consistent programs for all children is something that this area has lacked for a long time.
With our vision to bring our area under the umbrella of one NCYSA club in the not so distant future, we want to be the next program to take our area to new heights in the soccer community.
By joining North Carolina Youth Soccer Association, there are many inherent benefits that go along with NCYSA membership.
The mission of the NCYSA is to foster the physical, mental, and emotional growth of amateur youth in the state of North Carolina, regardless of race, gender, religion, color, ethnic heritage, or ability, through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition by establishing programs and activities that focus on the development, promotion, teaching, and administration of the game of soccer among amateur youth. That mission and purpose flows through each and every vein at our club with the sole focus on providing an affordable opportunity for children of our area to play the game all the way from recreation to premier levels against other clubs across the state.
NC Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA), as a member of US Youth Soccer, the governing body of Youth Soccer in the United States; we can offer the following programming:
- USYS Sanctioned Tournaments
- National Championship Series
- TOPSoccer
- USYS National League
- USYS National Awards
NCYSA has 6 core Key Values that are also adhered to at NRFC. Those values are:
1. Recreation is the foundation of NCYSA - recreation strives to promote and emphasize participation, not competition, and to help children understand this is the "Game For All Children".
2. Supportive Services and Player Insurance - Administrative Assistance for clubs, Insurance for every registered player, coach and referee with supplemental medical insurance as well as certificates of liability insurance for fields/facilities used by NCYSA registered players. Risk management requiring background checks for all coaches and referees to ensure player and participant safety, player registration with US Soccer, and Discipline and Appeals processes for all grievances.
3. Levels of Play - Recreation and Competitive levels of play and leagues are offered across the state by NCYSA. Recreation soccer focuses on FUN, while Competitive levels of play include Premier League, First Division, Second Division, and a Third Division that are all overseen by NCYSA Staff.
4. Education - Coaching education is provided by USSF, Referee education provided by NCSRA, and coursework for our Head Registrars are all provided to ensure that everyone that is a part of the club is educated and prepared to administer the best program possible for our players and parents. NCYSA also offers each club "Site Visits" where they will work with our club personally to help us overcome any of the obstacles we may be facing in our area to further continue our growth.
5. Player Development is the Focus - NCYSA Member Clubs all follow US Soccer's Player Development Initiatives which are recommended game models for ages U4 - U13 that ensure development occurs for each and every player, no matter what level of experience they have when entering.
6. Connection - NCYSA Member Clubs are connected to US Youth Soccer and U.S. Soccer, as well as NCYSA. NCYSA also reaches out and connects to all it's members through social media, it's website, and monthly newsletters to make sure all it's members clubs are "in the loop" when it comes to the soccer scene in NC and across the nation.
It was a "no brainer" for our club to make sure we could offer NCYSA membership to the players and parents of our area as we all want to be a part of the most respected, and highest order programming in the state. That is something that was only possible through affiliation with NCYSA.
We are looking forward to kicking off our first season as a NCYSA member with our Spring Recreation program and cannot wait to see those kids out on the field.
We are also looking for people, parents, former soccer players, who want to be a part of our organization and feel they could contribute to the growth of the club. All doors are open for volunteer opportunities within our organization, and we want you to know that this club IS FOR YOU! NRFC is for YOU!
