The Total Football Club had its humble beginnings with the idea of becoming a different type of club. The club was started to give Houston area soccer players the opportunity to experience high level development and to foster the idea that soccer is more than a sport, it is a culture. Keeping that in mind the club felt it was important to have children fall in love with the sport through its history, attending professional games, and other activities that would allow the children to become closer to the game.  At TFC we understand our club’s objective is not for everyone.  The club’s goal is geared more towards those players and parents who are looking for a high level of commitment. In the summer of 2014 TFC became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. TFC was founded on the principal that development of all-around quality players can and should begin at a young age. To achieve this goal we utilize a coaching style grounded in the Dutch soccer philosophy in addition to using the best methodologies from around the world. Accordingly, The Total Football Club has formed an affiliation with the AJAX Online Football academy. AJAX Amsterdam is known for producing some of the top class players. With this affiliation, coaches are able to attend AJAX courses, both our players and coaches have the opportunity to participate in the De Toekmost AJAX youth academy in Amsterdam, and AJAX youth academy coaches will come to the US to lead various developmental clinics for our club.
