St. Paul Soccer League

About the League

The St. Paul Soccer league is a co-ed 4 vs. 4 league for children ages 3-6.  Games will take place on Sunday afternoons on the campus of St. Paul Christian Academy on the synthetic turf athletic field.  Children will be able to learn the game through play and there will be no practices outside of games.

The purpose of the league is to not only introduce boys and girls to the game of soccer, but all of the other lessons that come with being part of a team, competing and practicing good sportsmanship.  This league aims to provide a positive athletic experience for all who participate.  We hope to be one of the first experiences that a child might have in the realm of athletics to set a foundation for a lifelong love of sport.

The St. Paul Soccer League is open to the community.

Players will be divided into 2 age groups (age as of April 8, 2018) – 3-4 will play at 2:00 PM and 5-6 will play at 3:00 PM. Each day will start with 15 minutes of basic fundamental drills led by the coaches.  Teams will be divided as equally as possible with a mix of boys and girls, experienced and inexperienced players.

St. Paul will provide 2 staff members to work each game as referees/coaches. These individuals will be middle/high school students (often St. Paul alumni).

There will be no weekly practices organized by the league or staff members. The goal of the league is to allow the children to learn the game through play, and we expressly do not wish to overburden families with another commitment to weekly practices.
