Why play Basketball with Neighborhood Sports?
Our Basketball Program is a youth recreational league for boys and girls, ages 6-13. The program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to wear NBA/ WNBA team uniforms, engage in recreational competition, and experience continuous action, all while learning lessons in teamwork. We have many local leagues (see league locations page). In many locations, we offer Winter and Summer League seasons. Players learn skills and lessons that help them succeed both on and off the court.
The game is 5v5 OR 4v4* (at some locations with the younger players) basketball that teaches the basic skills of dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending. The games are played at local schools, universities, and city or county basketball courts.
This is a Recreational League, score is kept, and teams practice once per week for up to 60 minutes. Teams play games on weekends for 6 weeks. All teams make playoffs held on week 7; playoffs are single elimination games with teams playing 1-3 games during the tournament. All players receive a trophy, with the winning teams crowned 'Tournament Champions'.
Players can register individually, request to play with friends, or register as a team* (placement with friends or coach is not guaranteed). If you are registering as a team, by Policy, Neighborhood Sports reserves the right to add participants to all groups of players or teams that do not come with a complete roster (10 players). By policy, Neighborhood Sports cannot give refunds after the start of a season.

- Players receive quality, reversible NBA / WNBA Team Jersey

- Most teams will wear matching attire (shorts, socks) to match their jersey - suggested
