Registration is open for Jr Jackets 2022/2023 Season (Travel and House).

TRAVEL LEAGUE DETAILS

Tryouts will be held for 5th and 6th grade boys and 6th grade girls travel teams as noted below:

All participants registered to tryout for a travel team are then also invited to open gyms prior to the tryouts. The open gyms are optional. Your child's attendance at the tryouts are mandatory.  Your child must be registered for travel team tryouts to attend the scheduled open gyms.

The (optional) open gyms are as follows:

5th Grade Boys:

Thurs 10/5/23 7:40-9p at Junior High - Main gym

Wed 10/11/23, 7:40-9p at Junior High - Aux gym

6th Grade Boys:

Wed 10/4/23, 7:40-9p at Junior High - Main gym

Wed 10/11/23, 7:40-9p at Junior High - Main gym

6th Grade Girls

Tues 10/3/23, 7:40-9p at Junior High - Main gym

Tues 10/10/23, 7:40-9p at Junior High - Main gym

The (mandatory) tryouts are as follows:

5th Grade Boys: Tues 10/17/23, 7:40-9p at Junior High - Main gym

6th Grade Boys: Thurs 10/19/23, 7:40-9p at Junior High - Main gym

6th Grade Girls: Wed 10/18/23, 7:40-9p at Junior High - Main gym

Remember, if not done already, you must sign your child up for tryouts prior to the tryout date.

Also, Tryout Dates/Times/Location are subject to change. If a change occurs, an email will be sent to all registered participants.

PLEASE NOTE: In the event that your child does not make one of the travel teams, to participate in the House league, you must also be registered for the House program. Please register for both leagues at this time. If you register your child for both the house league and the travel team tryouts, and your son or daughter does end up making a travel team, the house fee that was charged at registration will be refunded.

HOUSE LEAGUE DETAILS

In an effort to create evenly matched house teams, evaluations of your son or daughter are conducted prior to placement on a house team.  As such, the evaluation nights for your child will be announced at a later date and notifications will be sent via email and website updates.

Important Registration Notes for House:
Please note that you must signup for your current grade level. Based on birth dates, the system may allow you to register for a different grade level. You cannot participate outside of your current grade level. If you register for the wrong grade level, we cannot guarantee that you will have a spot at your current grade level. Please make sure you signup for the correct grade level.

Registration for each grade level can be maxed out and registration closed. Please register early to guarantee yourself a spot. Should all open slots in an age bracket fill up, you can still register but will be waitlisted and cannot be guaranteed a spot.

We are always looking for volunteer coaches to help allow Jr Jackets to have as many teams as possible. Please consider volunteering to coach your son or daughters team. If we are short coaches, some late registrations may not get a spot on a roster. Jr Jackets will try our best to fill all spots, but cannot guarantee a spot if we are short coaches.
 
EVALUATION NIGHTS FOR EACH DIVISION ARE AS FOLLOWS (NOTE: All dates are subject to change if gym availability changes.) All Evaluations are at Perrysburg Jr High Gymnasium

3rd grade boys -- Monday October 30, 2023 6:10 - 7:25 pm
4th grade boys -- Monday October 30, 2023 7:40 - 8:55 pm
PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE SCHOOL MORE THAN 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED TRYOUT TIME.
Coaches will need to stay for both the 3rd grade and 4th evaluation sessions to evaluate both grades. 

5th grade boys -- Wednesday November 1, 2023 6:10 - 7:25 pm
6th grade boys -- Wednesday November 1, 2023 7:40 - 8:55 pm

7th grade boys and 8th grade boys COMBINED--Monday November 13, 2023 8:10 - 9:20 @ Perrysburg High School

Coaches should plan to stay for 15 minutes after evaluations end to discuss team formations.

3rd grade girls -- Wednesday November 8, 2023 7:10 - 8:00 pm
4th grade girls -- Wednesday November 8, 2023 8:10 - 9:00 pm
PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE SCHOOL MORE THAN 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED TRYOUT TIME.
Coaches should plan to stay for 15 minutes after evaluations end to discuss team formations.

5th grade girls and 6th grade girls COMBINED -- Thursday November 9, 2023 7:15 - 8:15 pm 
PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE SCHOOL MORE THAN 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED TRYOUT TIME.
Coaches should plan to stay for 15 minutes after evaluations end to discuss team formations. 

Lastly, 2nd graders (boys and girls) do not have an evaluation night and will start there sessions after Thanksgiving. An email will be sent to registered participants on dates and times as we get closer to those sessions starting.
