Hello Vikings,
I know Vikings are tough and used to serious winds, but I am afraid today might be too much even for us! The national weather service has issued a wind advisory for Royal Oak until 8pm. Wind gusts are anticipated to get up to 50 mph this afternoon!
As much as I hate to cancel practice, I think it's best. Besides the fact that I expect the balls and goals will blow all over the place, there is the real risk of falling tree branches and power lines.
I will run an optional "make up" practice Thursday from 5:15-6 if anyone is available. Please let me know by Wednesday night if you can make it so that I can come up with appropriate activities for whatever number will be there- if any.
Finally, please let me know you got this so that I don't worry about anyone rushing in this wind to get to a practice that is cancelled!
