The Evaluation process at SMOY

Children in grades 6-8 are evaluated on various skills by 4 independent evaluators. Each evaluators markings are tallied and then sorted from high to low. Depending on the number of children registered, the number of teams needed is determined; usually consisting of 7-8 players on each. The coordinators will then highlight the top 7, for example, then the next 7, and so on. This determines the teams. Please keep in mind that this process is set up so all of our youth play on and against similar skill levels which in the end fosters an environment where each child can be successful, build confidence and have fun. Please be positive when sharing the team assignments and supportive of all youth regardless of team.
