The objective of Canton Youth Sports, Inc. is to establish organized, amateur Recreational Youth Tackle Football, Youth Recreational Cheerleading, Youth Flag Football, or other youth amateur sports seen as a need by the community with an ultimate objective of social, physical, mental, and moral development of children aged 5 to12 years. A program of friendly competition with the goal of educating players about teamwork, fellowship, courtesy, discipline, and integrity will be established, free of personal adult ambitions or agendas for a specific child or children and free from adult personal glory.  The common objective of this Corporation will be to operate in the best interest of all community youth irrespective of ability, race, or religion by promoting skills such as academic, leadership, and sportsmanship through individual and team sports offered by the Corporation.  A successful youth sports program is only made possible by the support of community members, therefore Canton Youth Sports, Inc. will solicit businesses for donations and apply for grants, contributions, transfer and hold/invest in such properties which may be required to further the purpose of the Corporation. Canton Youth Sports will offer an all-play format allowing all registered athletes the opportunity to participate in practices and games or competitions.  CYS encourages all youth to register and participate no matter their skill level, speed, or size.  The coaching staff of CYS is committed to providing a positive learing atmosphere, teaching the object of the sport, teaching the fundamentals of the sport, teaching age-appropriate techniques of various positions for the sport, and creating challenges in practices to help athletes overcome adversity so they are better prepared for the game or competition.
