2018 Tackle Football Information
Tackle Football is for players ages 7 thru 12 as of June 30th of that year.
8th graders MUST play for the Middle School team.
Registration fees ($135) includes equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, practice pants, practice jersey, knee pads. Not included are mouthpiece with strap, cleats, socks, and girdle with athletic cup, which each player is required to have at their own cost. We are selling BrainPad mouthpieces for only $6.
Each family must pay a $40 volunteer fee, that will be returned after you work 2 hours at a BMF game (head and assistant coaches are exempt, please don't pay for registration until the fee is removed).
Practices are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. When school starts it goes down to Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.
No-pads practices start on Tues. Aug. 8th (mini camp).
Heat acclimation is 3 days, Mon-Wed, Aug 13-15 (helmets, shoulder pads, shorts, no contact)
Full contact practices start on Thurs. Aug. 16th.
Equipment pickup is at Moove-In Storage on Rt 422-E, dates TBD
Games will start on Labor Day weekend.
JV games are usually on Saturday mornings (DB Middle School for home games).
Varsity games are usually on Sunday afternoons (DB High School Stadium for home games).
Players can re-use socks from last year. New players must purchase socks at $10 per pair (blue DB).
Bring plenty of water in squeeze bottles.
NEW FOOTBALL JERSEY FOR 2018
All Tackle football will receive for a FREE BRAND NEW personalized game jersey. Last year's jerseys will not be usable, as we are changing colors. BMF will not order a game jersey until the player is sized in person AND registration is paid for. Anyone who registers late may receive a stock game jersey with a random number. You can then take the jersey to JD Sports in Birdsboro to have the players name printed on the back at your cost. These are high quality Riddell reversible game jerseys that you keep. Players that register/pay after April 4th will incur a $20 fee, as the jersey prices go up from the manufacturer. Players that sign up after June 14th will pay full price.
