Volunteer Background Check/Safety Clinic Info

BACKGROUND CHECKS and LAW REQUIREMENTS for Volunteers

Prospective Robbinsville Little League coaches, managers and volunteer candidates: There are Little League International requirements and Robbinsville Township law requirements that must be adhered to and are listed and discussed below:

1. Robbinsville Township Fingerprinting is no longer required with the completion of a JDP Background check
2. Copy of Valid Drivers License
3. District 12 Safety Clinic (Good for 3 Years)
4. LLI/CDC Concussion Online Training (Yearly)
5. USA Baseball Abuse Awareness for Adults Training (Yearly)
6. CPR/AED Training - Provide Card if you are already Certified or Training Dates below.


Little League International Requirements

1.
Little League International (LLI) requires an annual background check performed by the Little Safety Officer using JDP.

2. Copy of Valid Drivers License
A Copy of your valid drivers license or valid government identification must updated in SportsConnect under the volunteer section.  This should be done as early as possible so you can be verified as a volunteer. This is a Little League Charter Rule and Insurance issue.

Please complete all and email scanned copies of #1 and #2 above to [email protected] (RLL Safety Officer) immediately.  If you need fingerprinting please email a copy of your receipt from #1 above to the same email addresses. See their website for locations, Ewing is OPEN.

Player Evaluations

Managers and Coaches will not be eligible to attend evaluations if 1, 2, and 3 above are not completed.  The only exception will be for #1 above if you are waiting results of your background check update and have either performed your fingerprinting or have a valid date and provide proof via receipt to the RLL Safety Officer.

Draft/Selections
Managers and one "Named Coach" will not be eligible to be Managers or "Named Coaches" and attend the draft if 1, 2, and 3 above are not completed.  The only exception will be for #1 above if you are waiting results of your background check update and have either performed your fingerprinting or have a valid date and provide proof via receipt to the RLL Safety Officer.

Practices/Games
Coaches and or Manager's can be included in Team Practices or Games until 1,2, and 3 above are completed.

Pre-registration is not required. Attendance will be based on the Webex generated attendance list. Attendees must join via the Webex app. Call-ins will not receive credit for attending. Please use first and last name when signing into Webex.

(Good for 1 Year, must keep up with Renewals)

6. USA Baseball Abuse Awareness for Adults Training 
(Must complete annually)
This on‐line course discusses child abuse and the responsibilities of local government to protect children. All Robbinsville Little League volunteers must complete this on‐line course annually and is required by Robbinsville Township.  To access the training, click HERE
