WAMS-AO is offering an opportunity to students in all grades to participate on the WAMS Track and Field Team. Track and Field consists of track events such as the 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 races, hurdles and field events shot put and long jump.
The track and field season runs from early March thru late May. The team will meet three times per week for a combination of practices and meets. Most practices will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at WAMS 2:30 to 4pm. Meets are on varying days.
Only those students who can participate three times per week should register.
Some practices will require going to Ridge High School's track. (Most likely on Mondays)
The team will compete in the CJJSAA middle school league. Home meets are at Ridge High School but most meets are away at other locations. Busing will be provided to AWAY meets only.
Eligibility: Any WAMS student who can commit to the three day a week schedule may participate. Approximately 75 students will be rostered for the team. There are no tryouts. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Please do not register your child if they have other obligations that will conflict with this schedule.
As space is limited, this is first come, first serve for a roster spot so register early. Athletic Physical Forms are due for EVERY student registering. Please see FAQ page for instructions as to which form to submit. Any student who has not handed in a completed physical by the posted deadline will forfeit their roster spot.
Remember: Every student that registers for this team MUST hand in either an Athletic Pre-Participation Physical or a Health History Update. Please check out our FORMS Tab and FAQs tab to learn more about which form you need to submit to our WAMSAO mailbox in the school office.

The approximate cost for team members is $200.
There are no refunds once you register.

Registration closes Feb. 17th at 11pm.
