Ending of an Era

The end of the 2017-18 season marks the end of Coach Gleason's 13 years as head coach of the Appleton Wrestling Club. Coach Gleason took over following a short tenure of then head coach Eric Gordee and spent time with the varsity program at West High School and 5 years as the head coach of Wilson Middle School Wrestling.
During coach Gleason's tenure, Appleton grew from one club in town to 3 each serving an area high school. Appleton Wrestling stayed true to it's roots and supported a variety of young kids from throughout Appleton. The program also began attending tournaments. Eventually the program became successful in tournament competition winning tournaments in Oshkosh, Weyauwega-Fremont, and Seymour.
Thank you to coach Gleason and his family for your commitment to the Appleton Wrestling Club. We look forward to the future as well...
