Rush Soccer has added Director of Coach & Player Development Davide Corti to the recent staff additions, gaining further experience and credibility with Corti’s background.

A native of Italy, Corti began with the A. C. Milan Youth Academy.

“My father was a former semi-pro soccer player and he started coaching in an amateur club. He brought me in when I was only 7 and I left when I was 10 because A.C. Milan picked me.”

After 8 years, Corti moved to the Serie A team for four seasons, establishing a presence at A. C. Milan. Corti continued to play professional soccer for teams such as Empoli, Pro Sesto, Brescello, and Sorianese.

Corti began coaching at an amatuer club, soon becoming Technical Director, then moved to the Director of Coaching responsibility of a senior team within the club.

Meanwhile, A. C. Milan wanted to use Corti’s expertise in their Youth Academy, where Corti once played. While remaining on staff from 2005 - 2017, Corti’s roles included Talent Scout for the Academy, Technical Director of one of A. C. Milan’s soccer specific schools, and Technical Director of Research and Development for the Youth Academy.

In 2017, Corti took his expertise to Cedar Stars Academy - Monmouth in New Jersey to assist the Technical Director and coach U16-U19 players. At the conclusion of a strong professional career, Corti explained his transition to coaching,

“After I played for more than 13 years I decided it was time for me to look forward so I started coaching a team of really young players. I started loving the feeling you experience when you help younger players better understand the game.”

Corti detailed why he chose Rush,

“Rush has been operating like A.C. Milan was operating with national and international projects; I see a lot of resemblances,” Corti explained.

“We have just started working together but the energy and the passion I’ve experienced in while helping build out the progression manuals are absolutely amazing. Rush has been doing an incredible job over the years for US soccer because everyone is getting benefit out of a company that is working on coach and player development.

I think the goals for the future will be the same that characterized Rush over the years with much more attention on quality over quantity when working with all the Rush clubs on key development topics for coaches and players in Rush.”

Corti joins the Rush Soccer staff, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in the sport and further connections to European soccer.

Welcome Davide Corti!
