Phoenix, Arizona – On Friday afternoon, 22 Rush Select teams begin play at the Presidents’ Day Tournament in Phoenix, AZ. The teams participating include a wide range, from 2006 boys and girls teams all the way up to 2001 birth year teams. Each team showcases a group of players from across Rush Nation, from the east coast at Virginia Rush; to the north with players from Rush Canada; southern clubs like West Texas Rush, New Mexico Rush, and Georgia Rush; western clubs such as California, Hawaii, and Alaska Rush; and numerous Rush clubs in between. The representation of Rush Select coaches is equally as diverse, with coaches coming from Idaho Rush, Colorado Rush, Pennsylvania Rush, Rush Wisconsin, Rush Wisconsin West, Chicago Rush, Montana Rush, and several more. Kicking off the on-field element of the Rush Soccer and Capelli Sport partnership are the 2019 Rush Select kits. Custom made for this year’s program, the three uniform kits feature purple and white, blue and white, and white color schemes with the Capelli Sport “Griffon” design. Specific to this two-tone, side-panel style is the Capelli Sport four cubes located on the shoulders and down the outside of the shorts in the primary kit color. The cubes are complemented by piping details that begin at the crew neck collar and break out down the side panels of the jersey top to blend with the shorts, all in the secondary kit color. After being showcased at the 2019 Presidents’ Day Tournament by the 2006-2001 boys and girls Rush Select teams, these uniforms will also be utilized by the groups as they participate in international travel and competition this summer.
