Tryouts

Welcome to Champlin Park Girls Soccer.  If you're new to our program or need a few reminders of what to expect from the season, see the information below.  All information below is tentative as we are awaitingguidance from MDH and Anoka Hennepin School District as to how to proceed for the Fall Sports season.

2021 Tryouts: August 16-19, 5:00-8:00 PM

All tryout sessions are MANDATORY
.  Players must register with the CPHS Activities Office before they are allowed to try out.

Each player must be properly equipped during tryouts: shin guards, cleats, socks, and running shoes.  If you fail to bring these items, you will not be allowed to try out until you have them to ensure player safety.

What if I miss a tryout date?
Tryout sessions are mandatory.  We cannot hold a spot for players - new, returning, or injured players.  If team space allows for it, we can place that player on a lower-level team for continued evaluation of skill set, work rate, and attitude.  Dependent on those characteristics and the coach's evaluation, the player will either stay on that team, move up accordingly, or could be potentially let go from the program.  Again, we cannot guarantee placement on a team if the roster numbers are unable to accommodate for it.

Registration
In order to tryout, all players must register for a fall sport in the CPHS Activities Office (see document link below) or register online HEREbefore tryouts, you will not be able to participate in tryouts if it is not completed.  Registration will require an activities fee and all players must have a valid physical from their doctor on file (updated every 3 years).

Booster Club - Fees
Booster fees are due by the mandatory team meetings/picnic.  Each player that participates in the program is required to pay a booster fee. This fee is used by the Booster Club to supplement equipment that the school is unable to provide to the girls soccer program.  Balls, corner flags, goals and nets, uniforms, warm-ups, and socks are just a few items that this fee is used toward.
