Hello Champlin Park Girls Soccer Families,

 

 

We know this can be difficult time as players will be excited or disappointed depending on which team they were placed on.  In all we had 85 players come out to be evaluated for the High School Season and we were impressed with the level of play at all grades.  There are always unique circumstances as we enter each season. This year we have 20 seniors in the program.  These players have all shown commitment and dedication to Champlin Park Soccer over the last 4 years and we are happy to have them continue as leaders as they finish out their high school soccer careers.  With such a strong group of seniors, this ultimately meant that roster spots were limited at the Varsity and JV level.

 

Our coaching staff has over 70 years of high school coaching experience.  We try to make the best decision we can for both the growth of each individual player as well as the continued strength of the Champlin Park program as a whole.  We know we are not perfect, and we are always reevaluating players as we go through the season. Initial team placement is set, but there is always player movement within each season.  Keep working hard and strive to be the best player on your team.  

 

With that being said, all of the coaches are excited to start working with their respective teams, and we are confident that all teams and players will find success this season. 

 

What’s next 

• All Teams will practice tonight (Thursday Aug 18th) from 5pm-6:30.
• Girls who would like lockers at school (really important for younger players who are not driving yet) will be able to get them right after practice tonight.  Coaches will take them in and help them get set up.

Varsity and JV Duluth Trip- (specific details will come in separate email)

• Depart for Duluth Friday morning at 8:30am 
• Saturday - Scrimmages in Duluth

• Friday - No practice
• Saturday - Scrimmages in Eagan
• 9th grade team and B-Squad team Scrimmage on Saturday, August 20th.
  
  Details are as follows:

  Bus leaves Door W6 at 7:30am

  Game location: Eagan Stadium - 4185 Braddock Trail, Eagan 55123

  
  9A Team scrimmage - 9-10 am in the stadium
  Bsquad scrimmage - 10:30-11:30 am in the stadium
