Field Closures
Field closures are based on field conditions and inclement weather affecting field conditions and the safety of our players. Our goal is to protect our players and the fields so that we may continue using them. Practices, training, and games will continue if there is light rain. Fields will ALWAYS be closed when there is lightening in the area, no exceptions.
A decision to close the fields due to heavy rain, high winds, very low temperatures, or for very wet fields is up to the Woodstock United Soccer Association Board. Referees also have the authority to close any field, cancel any game, or suspend play should they deem conditions unsafe or unplayable.
Every attempt will be made to make field closure & game cancellation decisions by 7am on the morning of Recreational Soccer games and 2 hours prior to any Crossfire game (earlier for away teams that have farther to travel). Field closure decisions will be made as soon as possible for any week night game.
Field closures will be announced via this WUSA website and e-mails to coaches and players.
