Greetings,
I am Joseph Adamski and I will be the Head Coach of Girls PW2 Team 21 this fall
and behalf our Asst Coach Hamdy Mansour we will welcome you to Franklin
Township Soccer Club and our team. My daughter Annaliese will be on this team
and was in the nipper program last year in both the fall and spring sessions
and she is going into the first grade at St. Matthias School this fall. The
FTSC is great program for recreation soccer, the kids have fun and learn a ton
about the game. For many of us this will be our child's first endeavor in team
sports and so learning and skills development in a team setting will be a
concept we will teach while also developing individual players basic soccer
skills in passing, dribbling and shooting. Hamdy and I are both register class
F soccer coaches, Hamdy has been coaching in FTSC for several years and we on
the same page in terms of goals for kids. There's a lot of informational
content in this email (below) so feel free to contact either us directly with
questions or concerns (contact info below).

First and foremost, each team needs a volunteer team parent to help facilitate
the team snack at games and other duties such as helping with contacting
parents if games or practices are cancelled, etc. So if you're interested
please let me know.
FYI, if you know any parent who
has a daughter interested in playing soccer, please encourage them to
register!! First time players do not have to pay the late fee.
Equipment and attire
- Soccer Cleats: required for games are optional for practices but highly
recommended
- Shin guards w/stockings required for games and practices
- Uniforms are supplied for games and can be augmented with undergarments for
chilly weather in the fall
- T-shirts/sweat shirts and shorts/sweat pants required for practice
- Participants with glasses should wear safety or sports glasses or glasses
with unbreakable lenses. All glasses must be worn with a safety strap.
- All jewelry (earrings, necklaces, rings, watches and even dangling hair
clips) are generally prohibited for practice and games. Hair should be pony
tailed; the girls will be running A LOT.
Practices
- We will practice each week on Wednesday's at 5PM at Conerly Road School, 35
Conerly Road at Drake, Somerset NJ beginning August 20, 2014.
- Practices will consist of basic skills development and game condition
drills/scrimmages. Each activity will last no longer then 8-10 minutes and we
will water break often. Please come to practice with cleats, ball, shin guards
and appropriate attire. Also given the time please ensure the kids have had snack
and also bring a water bottle.
- Practices are first come first serve so we may end up sharing a field but
with six participants we require only small bit of real estate.
- Practices are important as for many of the participants this will be there first
year playing in "real" game conditions.
Games
- Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can warmup. Please ensure your child
has eaten, has hydrated and is equipped with a water bottle, already dressed in
uniform and has their soccer ball.
- We will rotate (coordinated by team parent) who brings snacks for halftime,
this usually consists of small sandwich bag of grapes and orange slices for
each participant.
- Your coaches (Hamdy and myself) are in full agreement that the kids playing
hard, learning, having fun, getting equal playing time and their safety are
paramount targets during games, the score is not considered and largley
forgotten when the goals are put away. Your feedback is always welcome.
- Our first game will be on Saturday September 6, 2014 at SGS school, the
schedule has yet to be released. Stay tuned.

will have these forms with me on our first practice however if you would like
to print and complete the form in advance of the first practice it is located
