Coach Cory Junker has been involved with soccer for over 30 years. Growing up in the Midwest, a powerhouse of soccer in the US, helped to cultivate a keen understanding of the game. He has played for numerous competitive clubs as well as participating in Division I collegiate soccer at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. In addition has played for 3 years in the Latin League in St. Louis, and continues to play competitively today. Most recently, he has been able to play internationally in the Caribbean for the island of Saba!
Cory started coaching youth many years ago, from high school to competitive club soccer. His drive and passion for the sport has helped him to continue his coaching education to this day. His past teams in Alaska have won over 15 championships, including 2 State Cups and finished in the finals multiple times in tournaments in the lower 48. All the winning aside, his main focus is on developing the player to the best of their abilities on and off the pitch in a positive environment of total exhilaration. Cory is a strong believer combining fun and training is an art and is a must.
