2023-2024 RYS Board Members

Responsibilities of each Board position are outlined below: 

President

• Oversee and conduct all Board business & affairs
• Acts as an impartial mediator in any/all disputes within the Board and/or the Program & its members
• Attends and leads all Board meetings when scheduled
• Attends/assists w/ all RYS functions, including Curriculum Night, Registration Night, Monthly Meetings, RYS Blizzard Bash Tournament, & End of Season Party
• Acts as primary liaison between Richland District 88A administration and RYS program
  
• If necessary, manages grade/discipline program between D88A and RYS
• Attends/participates in scheduling meetings for regular season games and RYS Blizzard Bash Tournament 
• Serves as a semi active board member as an advisor to the new incoming board

• Fills in for RYS president if he/she cannot fulfill any of the responsibilities of the position
• Attends/participates in game scheduling meetings for regular season games and tournament bracket creation for RYS Blizzard Bash Tournament
• Helps to manage/track game and practice schedules 
• Attends board meetings when scheduled
• Attends/assists with all RYS functions, including Curriculum Night, Registration Night, RYS Blizzard Bash Tournament, and the End of Season Party
• May assist uniform/equipment director as needed

Secretary

• Attends all board meetings
• Records and distributes all Board meeting agendas and minutes
• Coordinates all registration activities & materials 
• Coordinates Tournament volunteer sign ups
• Attends/assists with all RYS functions, including Curriculum Night, Registration Night, RYS Blizzard Bash Tournament, and the End of Season Party
• May assist with other duties as assigned

Treasurer

• Attends all board meetings
• Coordinates all deposits and transactions with program's banking institution
• Provides financials when requested
• Coordinates Referee & Family Work Fee payments

Concession Stand Director *can be filled by multiple people*

• Purchase and stock concession stand inventory using RYS funds
• Help sell concessions during regular season games
• Help coordinate and oversee concession stand volunteers for regular season games and the RYS Blizzard Bash Tournament

Equipment Director *can be filled by multiple people*

• Keep track of coaching equipment inventory at the beginning of the season
• Determine if additional equipment is needed
• Pass out equipment bags to coaches
• Collect equipment bags at the end of the season
• Assists w/ RYS Blizzard Bash Tournament at the end of the season

Uniform Director *can be filled by multiple people*

• Keep track of uniform inventory & assignments at the beginning of the season
• Determine if additional uniforms are needed
• Pass out uniforms to players prior to the start of games
• Collect uniforms at the end of the season
• Assists w/ the RYS Blizzard Bash Tournament at the end of the season
