U8 Boys - Wednesday, 4:30-6:00 (Frenchtown Middle Field)
U8 Girls - Wednesday, 6:00-7:30 (Frenchtown Middle Field)
U6 - Thursday, 5:00-5:45 (Frenchtown Middle Field)

General Information
This spring, EGSA will form our Recreational League teams by school-grade in order to create a fun, developmental program for our young soccer stars. When players advance into older recreational divisions and travel soccer, team formation will be done by birth year, per US Youth Soccer rules. For now, let the kids play with their friends! The following divisions are available this spring.U7/U8 Division (1st & 2nd grade)
Birthdate range: September 1, 2008 to August 31, 2010
- Teams are gender-specific (Boys & Girls)
- Teams will be assigned a parent coach. It is up to the parent coach to find an assistant coach, if desired.
- Teams will be formed with 7-9 players per team to ensure lots of playing time. Games are played in a 5v5 format (including goalie).
- Teams will have a weekly clinic-style practice run by professional coaches from Challenger Sports with a focus on skill development. Teams will also have a weekly team practice run by the parent coach(es) with a focus on game play.
- Boys Challenger Clinics will be Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00 on Frenchtown Upper Fields
- Girls Challenger clinics will be Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 on Frenchtown Upper Fields
- Day and time of individual team practices will be organized by the Parent coach at the start of the season.
- Each team will play one game each Sunday afternoon at Frenchtown Lower fields for an 8-week season, starting April 9th (weather permitting).
U6 Division (Kindergarten)
Birthdate range: September 1, 2010 to August 31, 2011
- Teams are coed
- Teams will be assigned a parent coach. It is up to the parent coach to find an assistant coach, if desired.
- Teams will be formed with 6-7 players per team to ensure lots of playing time. U6 games are played in a 3v3 format (no goalies)
- Teams will have a single, clinic-style practice on Thursdays from 5:00-5:45 p.m. These will be run by professional coaches from Challenger Sports.
- Each team will play one game each Sunday afternoon at the Meadowbrook Farms field for the 8-week season
Little Kickers
Birthdate range: September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2013
- Little Kickers will have a single, clinic-style practice per week run by our professional coaches from Challenger Sports. Depending upon the number of players, there may be two or three clinics to ensure that the experience isn't overwhelming for the players and coaches.
- Clinics will be held on Sunday afternoons at the Meadowbrook Farms field. First session will start at 12:00p.m. and the second will start at 1:00 p.m.
- There are no official teams and no games. The players will be broken into small groups for focused instruction and, in the second half of the season, small-sided scrimmages to let the players use skills!
