Matt Zirretta joined Iowa Rush Soccer Club in 2014 following graduation from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Matt is a physical therapist at Engineered Per4mance (www.engineeredper4mance.com) in Ankeny, IA and a Performance Coach for the Iowa Rush. He has implemented an ACL prevention warm-up based on the FIFA 11+ with great success. He is in charge of youth speed/agility, in-season speed/conditioning, and off-season strength/performance training.

A native of Cedar Rapids, IA, Zirretta played for CRSA where he won 6 straight Iowa State Cup championships and was a four-time Region 2 semi-finalist. He played Division I men’s soccer at the University of Kentucky and Northern Illinois University.

Matt is married to Madison and they reside in Ankeny with their black lab, Ruby.
