Smajlovic returns to the Iowa Rush after completing a successful playing career at Marshalltown Community College.  Eniz, a product of Iowa Rush's developmental approach, was born in Boznia and Herzegovina before moving to Ankeny as a youngster. While growing up, Smajlovic proved to be a driving force for every team he played on.  He was both team captain for Ankeny High School as well as be the leader on his Iowa Rush team.  As Smajlovic continued to improve, so did his roles on every team he played on.  After committing to Marshalltown Community College, Smajlovic proved himself to be a true leader after one season and was named Captain for his second year at the NJCAA D1 Program.   Throughout his second season he continued to push the program captaining a program that finished the season ranked #5 in the nation with just one loss.  He was awarded multiple team honors for the Division for his hard work, determination, and leadership. He was also awarded multiple First Team Honors for his academics within the sport.

While playing, Eniz developed a passion to give back to the community where he was raised and began helping coach at the Iowa Rush.  Eniz recently worked with the youth programs as well as being a main contributor to the continued development of the players through the weekly technical sessions and select coaching. Eniz also directs the 3-6 year-old program Kicks4Kids as a winter league here in Ankeny called Premier Challenge League.

Eniz currently resides in Ankeny.
