What? Flag Football and cheerleading are broken into age divisions; 5-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15.

When? August 13, 2023 is the cut off for participation. You must be paid in full and have your registration complete by August 13, 2023.

Player evaluation day will be Monday, August 28th, Tuesday, August 29th, Thursday August 31st and if necessary Saturday, August 26th.

Evaluation Day Schedule -
Monday, August 28th - 6:00-7:00 - Age 5 - Football field near the playground
Monday, August 28th - 6:00-7:00 - Ages 7-8 - Football field near the parking lot
Tuesday, August 29th - 6:00-7:00 - Age 6 - Football field near the playground
Tuesday, August 29th - 6:00-7:00 - Age 9 - Football field near the parking lot
Monday, August 28th - 7:15-8:15 - Age 10 - Football field near the playground
Tuesday, August 29th - 7:15-8:15 - Ages 11-12 - Football field near the parking lot
Tuesday, August 29th - 7:15-8:15 - Ages 13-15 - Football field near the playground

Practices will begin the week of September 4th . 5-6 and 7-9 age groups practice on Monday nights from 6:00-7:00 and Saturday mornings until games start. 10-12 and 13-15 age groups practice on Monday nights from 7:00-8:00 and Saturday mornings until games start. Games begin Mid-September and conclude the week of November 14th.

Who? Boys and Girls ages 5-15 are eligible to play flag football. We will also have cheerleading for the same age groups for girls if they would prefer to cheer instead of playing football.  Your child must be five by August 21, 2023 and cannot turn 16 before August 21, 2023.

How much? The cost for football is $75.00 and that covers the jersey and end of season party and trophies.  The cost of cheerleading is $75.00 and that covers the uniform – shirt and shorts - and trophy.

How do I get in on this?  Registration can be completed by going to www.whatasavior.com and going over to EXPLORE in the top right. A drop down menu will appear with Recreation on the menu. If you are new to Hopewell Recreation you will need to create a new account. If you are returning to Hopewell Recreation you can use the same account you logged on with in previous seasons. For families that already have an account set-up please verify that the address and other information on your account is current. Registration will begin July 9, 2023 and close August 13th, 2023.
