Idaho Rush established its scholarship program to provide opportunities for all children to play soccer regardless of family finances. Players must apply for financial aid each seasonal year, but not every season (for example, Recreation players approved in the fall are also automatically approved the following spring).
Recreation and RDL programs
Players qualify for financial assistance if the family receives any type of public assistance (reduced school lunch program, WIC, food stamps, Medicaid, unemployment, etc.).
Proof of eligibility must be submitted at the time of registration. In very rare circumstances, financial aid may be awarded even if the above conditions are not met. Call 336-6512 for details.
Financial assistance is provided in the form of a 50 percent reduction in whatever the current registration fee is for a given program.
Most scholarship registrations are done in person in the office, but arrangements may be made to complete a registration over the phone by faxing proof of eligibility to 336-6588. Call 336-6512 for details.
Rec/Select scholarship application
Competitive program
The scholarship application is more complex for players in the competitive program. Contact the office (336-6512) for details and an application.
If approved, the granting of scholarship is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Parents with a player participating in the scholarship program will automatically be added to the Idaho Rush volunteer list.
- Parents should expect to help in coordinating any of the organization’s activities or sponsored events.
- Failure to participate will result in the loss of future scholarships.
