ELITE DEVELOPMENT SOCCER

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Off-Season development is broken down into two specific focus areas, player development and team enhancement.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

  • Small sided, small area for game play environment
  • Faster pace of game play enforces quicker decision making and play planning
  • Increased touches on the ball by every player
  • Positional play that forces every player to be dynamic on and off the ball
  • Minimal down time during game
  • Quick transitional play from offense to defense reinforces a constant readiness and space awareness
  • Consistent game play schedule week to week with NO long term absence from play
  • By far, highest return on investment in both money and time for pure player skill development technically and tactically

TEAM ENHANCEMENT

  • Full field play
  • Only partially successful in team development due to issues lack of of full outdoor team player participation
  • Lower touches on the ball because of the size of field and roster sizes
  • Focus is on team aspects for use in outdoor play
  • Actual play time versus purchased field rental time is a lower value
  • Inconsistent game play schedule week to week with typical long term absence from play between scheduled games
  • A superior way to keep the outdoor game developing from a team perspective in the winter off season

Elite's player development focus is on technical and tactical skills with increased ball touches, speed of play, decision making, cardio sustainment /enhancement, positional awareness and transitioning speed of supporting roles from defense to offense and the reverse.

EDS supports player skill fulfillment by offering focused technical and tactical training for individual players and teams/groups through indoor league play, specialized training events and seasonal offerings in various leagues.

NEVER ENOUGH SOCCER

Our Teams and How We Work

Simply stated, "We love the game of soccer"!

We play indoor soccer all through the off season and we play a lot of it. Elite tries to achieve the right balance of rostered players in each age group that allows for multiple teams in that age group's divisions. If we achieve multiple teams for a specific age group, each player gets on average 9+ games a session (3 sessions a year) with some playing as much as 14 or more per session. This all is depended on player availability throughout the session schedule.

The entire group last season (U09 through High School) played a combined 370+ games, between the end of October and the end of March. That is a total of almost 320 hours of fast paced cardio and physically demanding soccer workouts that incorporate a speed of play and nonstop action from start to finish that is unmatched by other sports during the winter months.

Here are the details

Multiple Teams rostering in appropriate age groups within multiple divisions with players rostered on all of the teams.

Sounds confusing to those new to the concept, but here it is in simple soccer terms; (example - the High School girls last season was 1 team made up of 28 girls playing in 3 different divisions. All 28 players were signed up as 1 team that played in the following divisions – High School A, High School B and High School C. By doing this, we achieve a larger number of games each session, allowing for more games and more scheduling movement to work around player conflicts.

Parents or players provide dates and times players cannot participate and they are scheduled accordingly. Because we have more than just the normal 8 games a session per group, it allows more options for the players to still participate in soccer while playing or doing other activities during the off-season.

During the session, when players have unexpected or short notice conflicts, we are able to find other players from the list to fill in. We work through the list each time when needing fill-in players so it typically evens outs by the end of each session.

Normally all of our games are back to back, so if your player is scheduled for a weekend with multiple games, they will usually play them consecutively from start to finish minimizing additional trips to the facility.

Typical player costs for each session averages around $120.00+/- per player.
