Columbus East FC is very excited to announce tryouts for the USL operated, Super Y League this Summer 2018! This Elite level opportunity is open to players within Central Ohio for both CEFC and non-CEFC based players.
The Super Y League is an elite summer league for players committed to continuing their development throughout the summer through a higher level of training and by competing with other elite teams from the Midwest.
Super Y annual North American also provides National Exposure and player identification
Super Y League Scouting Network which is part of the USL, USL Division III and Premier Development League, the SYL provides the players that are selected a clear developmental pathway over the summer.
Individual player Tryouts for the USL Super Y League will be held from Saturday, February 10th through Sunday, March 4th. Prospective players should complete the online form to request an assessment. (Please note: This is an Elite level program, for High level, committed and dedicated individuals).
‘One’ Team will be formed in each of the following age groups:
Super Y-League (SYL) is a youth soccer league with teams from the United States and Canada. Founded in 1999, the SYL is dedicated to the progression of future professional players and has steered the course for development of elite clubs, players and coaches. Affiliated with U.S. Soccer, the SYL has opened countless doors for players to be identified for U.S. National Team programs. The SYL contains the youth academies of Major League Soccer, United Soccer League and Premier Development League clubs.
Important Information
The Super Y league is an additional summer league run by the USL with 6-12 league games typically from June through the first week in August.
Super Y teams will train during the summer months at the Soccer Fields at Easton (4475 Sunbury Road, Columbus, OH) and will participate in games throughout the Midwest.
Travel weekends are played mainly at neutral hosting sites. Teams play 2-3 games to minimize travel.
Players from ANY club can tryout and participate on our Super-Y teams.
Teams that win their division will qualify to play at the National Championships in Bradenton, FL in December. Additional costs will apply for teams that qualify for the National tournament in December.
Estimated “per player” Costs:
$425 for CEFC players, per season (does not include coaches fees associated with out of town travel)
$525 for non-CEFC players, per season (does not include uniform cost, does not include coaches fees associated with out of town travel)
$245 for “DP” Developmental Players. Players provided with “DP” status will practice with the Super Y Team and may have the opportunity to be selected to play in games at any point during the season.
Costs included in your player fee include, player passes, training fees, coaching fees, referee fees, field rental and other administrative/operation fees.
$245 due upon acceptance of Super Y offer, which will be with-in 24 hours from the tryout date. Balance is due March 1st, 2018. Players will also be responsible for the purchase of the Super Y uniforms. Cost and order info will be available at tryouts.
