Youth Development Academy: Jr. Rush

What is the Junior Rush Youth Development Academy Program?

The Junior Rush YDA program is for children who are Pre-Kindergarten age (3-5 year olds).

*It is our introductory soccer program for young children to learn the FUNdamentals of the game.

*The Junior Rush program is the building block for future participation in the Chicago Rush South more structured recreational and/or competitive program/teams.

Who can participate?

*Junior Rush YDA is for all children ages 3-6 year olds

How does it work?

*Players sign-up  and attend the same session each week for the six-session season

*3-4 Year old sessions are 45 minutes long and 5-6 year olds are 1 hour sessions

*The first half of each session consists of FUNdamental skill developing activities and games.

*Seasons are offered for the Fall, Winter, and Spring.

*Winter sessions may vary in length, times, locations and cost based on available indoor facilities**

What equipment do we need?

*Each player must wear shin guards to every session.

*Soccer cleats are highly recommended (during winter season, tennis shoes are required).

*Soccer Ball is required. ( size 3 )

Who teaches/coaches Junior Rush YDA?

*Junior Rush YDAis taught by selected members of the Chicago Rush South coaching staff.

*Coaches have experience and have been trained to work with small and/or younger children as well as incorporating age-appropriate activities.

Why should I have my young child be a part of Junior Rush YDA?

*The Junior Rush YDA provides opportunities for younger children to physically participate in a Rush soccer program while learning the FUNdamental skills of soccer.

*The Junior Rush YDA introduces and reinforces the skill acquisition of basic soccer techniques for future participation and enjoyment.

*The coaches understand how to teach and develop players at these ages and incorporate a curriculum that uses a game-based approach to increase the player's enjoyment and love for learning the game of soccer.

DATES - Wednesday January 10th to Wednesday March 14th (every Wednesday for 10 weeks)
WHEN - 3-4Year olds 5:00pm- 5:45pm,  5-6 year olds 6:00pm - 7:00pm  
WHERE - Troy Craughwell Elementary School (3333 Black Rd, Joliet, 60431)
COST - (3-4 years old) $150/(5-6 years old) $175        
*Includes a shirt & size 3 ball*
