State Tournament Update

Technical difficulties Saturday night pushed the winners bracket game between Troy and Greenhill and the elimination game between East Montgomery and Underwood to Sunday afternoon.

In the winners bracket game (Game 3), Greenhill beat Troy 5-2 to win their first game of the tournament. In the elimination game (Game 4), East Montgomery was eliminated by Underwood, losing 6-3. With the wins, Greenhill advanced to play AUM in the next winners bracket game, and Underwood remained in contention to play Troy in a win-or-go-home game. The games were scheduled to be played this evening. However, rain pushed the next two games to Monday morning.

Monday has three games schedule. AUM and Greenhill will play a winners bracket game (Game 6), and Underwood will play Troy in an elimination game (Game 5). AUM will then play Greenhill again in Game 7. The winner of Game 5 will advance to Game 8 on Tuesday. If after the end of Game 7 AUM and Greenhill both have one loss, then AUM and Greenhill will draw for a spot in the championship game (Game 9). The other team will face the winner of Game 8 in an elimination game with the winner earning a spot in the championship game. Games 8 and 9 will be played on Tuesday.
