AUM Loses First Game of Tournament, Still Ends Up On Top

AUM lost a close one in their second match-up with Greenhill today. Greenhill eeked out a 2-1 victory in Game 7 of the tournament to keep their hopes alive.

In the Game 5 elimination game, Troy also squeaked by Underwood by a score of 1-0. With the loss, Underwood is eliminated from tournament contention.

It wasn't all bleak for AUM today. Because the remaining three teams (AUM, Troy, and Greenhill) all had one loss, the "Note 1" and "Note 2" situations came into affect. Under Note 1, Troy moves into Game 8 because Note 2 came into affect with Greenhill's loss in Game 6 and AUM's loss in Game 7. Under Note 2, AUM and Greenhill flipped a coin for entry into the Game 9 Championship Game. AUM won the flip and received a bye into Game 9. Game 8 will feature an elimination match-up between Troy and Greenhill.
