Comment from a previous event:

"I wanted to thank you again for having my son, Thomas, represent Oz Park in the UIC vs. Milwaukee game by singing the national anthem. It was truly a memorable and motivational moment for him. From the singing to the first time he was able to see a game up close right behind the net.

After the game when the UIC players found he had sung the anthem, they all huddled around genuinely congratulating him in the dugout, while one of the pitchers went and got a game ball for him to have for team signing. It all had tremendous impact.

Outside the ballpark he said, "I don't care what you say about those Ivy League schools, I am going to UIC. It's the best, and I want to play baseball here!"
