Tryouts for EGSA's 2019-2020 Travel Teams will be held June 11-13 for all players born from 2005-2011.
ALL players interested in being considered for an EGSA Travel Team must participate in a tryout session. This includes current travel team players as well as those who are new to the program.

LOCATION: WIDE WORLD OF INDOOR SPORTS SOUTH (OLD BUILDING, FIELD 3)
All birth years - 5:00-7:00 pm (check-in starts at 4:30)
Only come to this session if you are unable to make your designated Tuesday or Wednesday tryout.
This year we are hoping to form 8th grade teams (U15/U16) that will NOT play the fall 2019 season, but will play in the spring 2020 season.
* 2005 Birth Year Players entering 8th grade will be evaluated for an 8th Grade (U15/U16) team ONLY.
** 2006 Birth Year Players entering 8th grade will be evaluated for both the 8th Grade (U15/U16) team and the U14 team.
** 2006 Birth Year Players entering 7th grade will be evaluated for the U14 team ONLY.
Important Changes For 2019-2020 Season
1) Registration is now through Stack Sports, not GotSoccer or Blue Sombrero. All Rhode Island soccer clubs are required to make this change heading into the 2019-2020 season. Stack Sports will provide a much better player management and registration experience for our families in the long run, but there is a one-time, initial setup to create a parent account, add your player(s), and upload player photo and birth certificate. Per Soccer-RI rules, no player/parent information is being transferred from GotSoccer or Blue Sombrero into Stack Sports. All of these steps must be completed when registering your player for the tryouts.
2) Families can now request player placement on a partial-year commitment team. Responding to feedback from the community, EGSA is relaxing the requirement for all travel team players to make a full-year commitment. During tryout registration, you will be asked to specify your player's commitment level: full-year or partial-year. Anchor teams require a greater commitment and will be formed from the pool of full-year players, based on the tryout data. Non-anchor teams will be formed from the entire pool of players, full-year and partial-year, based on the tryout data. After the fall season, non-anchor team players will be offered the opportunity to commit for the winter and spring seasons, or can exit the team without financial penalty.
