Registration for Session 1 of USA Keeper Training is currently closed.  If you wish to join Session 1 please contact the Club Director of Operations at [email protected] so we can make arrangements.  Session 2 of the Keeper Training is still open.  Simply register through your online account on the club website.

Revised Keeper Training Schedule

Thursday, February 11th and 18th at 8:00pm

Keeper Training Preparation

Each player will need:
  • mask
  • ball
  • water (no water fountains or concessions are available)
  • their personal keeper gear (it recommended that players wear long sleeves and pants (or elbow and knee coverings)).
Due to continue COVID protocols:
  • players must arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before the training session
  • players must arrive with training gear on and ready to go
  • no spectators are allowed
  • masks are to be worn by all individuals at all times while in the building
  • social distancing must be adhered to as much as is practical for activities
  • players must leave the building immediately after the training session

Information Related to the Cancellation of Session 1 of USA Winter Technical Training

Session 1 (scheduled to start Monday, February 8) has been cancelled.  The unexpected news that contact sport competitions are allowed to resume (which is great news) allows for the resumption of indoor league games at the Soccer Stop (schedules for the balance of Session 1 of the Indoor Season are available online now).  That, however, took away the available time and space for our first session of Club Winter Training.  A truly bittersweet impact.

We do expect that we will be able to support Session 2  in March (there may be changes to days and times).  Registration for Session 2 of Winter Technical Training is still open.  Registration for Session 2 of Keeper Training is also still open.  Registration for Session 1 of Keeper Training just closed, but if you are interested please drop me an email or text (it starts Monday, February 8 at 6:00pm).   We are also hopeful that we can offer some sort of training prior to Session 2 (e.g., smaller group training, high school girls tryout tune-up, etc.).  However, it will take some time for that to come into focus.  We will send along information directly and through team coaches if we are able to squeeze in additional training.

WINTER TRAINING PROGRAMS
We are excited to announce the opening of registration for the United Soccer Athletes Winter Training Programs.

It has been a long winter without much soccer ... but the time has come the Club to start training. We appreciate your patience - we were waiting to see what we could offer while under COVID restrictions - BUT WE WILL WAIT NO LONGER. This being said, we hope your players can come out even with the very short lead time (the first session begins next week).

We are changing some things up a little bit this year. We are offering more intensive programs that provide about 6 hours of training in a two week windows. We are also offering two sessions ... so players can get 12 hours of focused training before we head outside for the spring! And, we are keeping the same cost as years past - $50.

Individual Technical Skill Development: This intensive2 week program will provide each player with approximately six hours of ball handling, first touch, and finishing training. We encourage all USA players to participate in this program. It is a great way for players and teams to connect during the winter and prepare together for the spring season.

Goalkeeper Training: This intensive 2 week program will provide age-specific technical goalkeeper training with focus on catching technique, diving and recovery, defending high balls, working angles, defending breakaways and more.

Individual Fitness Training: More information for this training program will be shared soon.

There will be two sessions offered:
Session 1 - Monday, February 8 through Saturday, February 20
Session 2 - Monday, March 15 through Saturday, March 27
  • Participants must register for each session individually (i.e., registration for Session 1 does not provide registration for Session 2 in March).
  • Each session will include 6 days (50 minutes pre day) of training over the two week period.
  • The cost for each session will remain the same as past years at $50 per session.
Each session will offer a similar focus but have varied content to support players that wish to to both sessions.
  • Due to COVID space restrictions, each session must be capped at 12 participants per age group.
  • Session limits will be managed based on order of registration receipt (i.e., first come, first served). SO REGISTER TODAY!
  • If registration exceeds 12 participants we may offer more sessions of training on other days of the week within the same two week windows. We want to do all we can to give our players this opportunity.
  • Training sessions will be held at the Soccer Stop Sportsplex indoor turf fields at 5 River Hills Drive, Holland.
