The CSC U10 Academy Program is designed for players who are transitioning from Recreation Soccer and the U8-U9 Pre-Academy into a more challenging training environment
Program Goals & Mission
Player Development is the number one priority of the Academy. The long-term goal is to develop players who are capable of competing at the travel soccer level and beyond. The Academy environment is exciting and challenging, and will constantly test our players. As players mature, it is important to place them appropriately to ensure they are encouraged and pushed to achieve their own personal bests. The Academy Program continues to promote fun and fundamentals, while also demanding a strong work ethic, commitment, and passion for the game.

Academy Player Goals
- Have the ability to attack and defend as an individual
- Attempt to play using both feet
- Be able to show imagination and innovation
- Ability to identify 1 v 1, 2 v 1, 2 v 2, 3 v 2, & 3 v 3 situations
Academy Team Goals
- Know how to attack and defend as a team
- Be able to play out from the back and be comfortable in possession
- React quickly in transition (attack to defense / defense to attack)
- Understand the principles of counter attacking
- Make the pitch big in possession and control the tempo of the game
- Be able to make forward passes that cut out the opposition
- Know how to play quick in and around the box with combination play
- Know when and how to interchange and rotate positions during a game
- Have confidence to be creative in wide areas creating 2 v 1’s while looking to combine in the box
- Have confidence to individually express themselves in the right areas at the right time

U10 Academy players will participate in a combination of League Games and Academy Friendlies | Fall | Spring
Training will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-7:00 at the Culpeper Sports Complex
Professional Weekly Training Sessions With Licensed Coaching Staff | 20-25 Total Sessions Per Season | Fall | Spring
Professional Weekly Futsal Training Session With Licensed Coaching Staff | 8 Total Sessions Per Season | Winter
Times and dates are subject to change based on daylight savings, field availability, weather cancellations, etc.
2-3 CCL NextGen Festivals are included in U9-U10 Academy

Uniform Fees
- Required U10 Academy | Approximately $115.00 depending on uniform size
2019/2020 U10 Academy Fees
- U10 Academy | $725.00
- $100 Deposit for U10 Academy Players due upon acceptance of invitation
- 7 Month Payment Plan Available (June-December)
Partial financial assistance is available. Please contact the office administrator at office@culpepersc.org for details. Deadline to submit request for financial assistance is 5/25/2019.
