Spring Baseball and Softball Registration

Early Registration Fees: Jan. 3 - Jan. 31 - Discount will be applied at checkout
T-Ball & Farm A:  $140
AA, AAA & Majors:  $175

General Registration Fees: Feb. 1 - Mar. 1
T-Ball & Farm A:  $140
AA, AAA & Majors:  $195

Late Registration Fees: (If there is room on rosters)
T-Ball & Farm A:  $160
AA, AAA & Majors:  $215

Birth Certificates:
All players are required to upload a birth certificate to the website. Players will not be allowed to participate in practices and/or games until a copy of the birth certificate is received.

Refund Policy:
No refunds will be issued once teams have been formed. For special circumstances such as medical issues or injury, exceptions may be requested to the league Vice President.  Choosing not to play, or moving to another program does not qualify for a refund.

Division Descriptions


Baseball Ages & Divisions

Age 5
  • Birth Year = Sep - Dec 2017 & Jan - Aug 2018
  • T-Ball: All 5-year olds will be placed in T-Ball regardless of whether they have prior baseball experience;

Age 6
  • Birth Year = Sep - Dec 2016 & Jan - Aug 2017
  • Tball: Players who are age 6 with no prior Little League experience will be placed in T-Ball.
  • Farm A: Players who are age 6 and have played T-ball in an official Little League program will be placed in Farm A

Age 7
  • Birth Year = Sep - Dec 2015 & Jan - Aug 2016
  • Farm A: All players who are age 7 will be placed in Farm A.

Age 8
  • Birth Year = Sep - Dec 2014 & Jan - Aug 2015
  • Farm AA: All players who are age 8 will be placed in AA. 

Age 9
  • Birth Year = Sep - Dec 2013 & Jan - Aug 2014
  • AA: The majority of 9-year olds will play AA.
  • AAA: 9 yr olds with AA experience are eligible to be drafted in AAA. To be eligible to play in AAA, a 9-year old must attend AAA evaluations. Any 9 yr old who does not attend evaluations or is not selected for the AAA draft will be placed in AA.
  • Evaluations will be held March 25, time TBD.

Age 10:
  • Birth Year = Sept - Dec 2012 & Jan - Aug 2013
  • All 10 yr olds must attend either AAA or Majors evaluations.
  • AAA: The majority of 10-year olds will play AAA.
  • Majors: 10 yr olds with AAA experience are eligible to be drafted in Majors. To be eligible to play in Majors, a 10-year old must attend Majors evaluations. Any 10 yr old who is not selected for the Majors draft will be placed in AAA.
  • Evaluations will be held March 25, time TBD.

Age 11:
  • Birth Year = Sept - Dec 2011 & Jan - Aug 2012
  • All 11 yr olds must attend either AAA or Majors evaluations.
  • AAA: 11 yr olds who wish to play AAA should attend AAA evaluations.
  • Majors: 11-year-olds who wish to play Majors should attend Majors evaluations. Any 11 yr old who not selected for the majors’ draft will be placed in AAA.
  • Evaluations will be held March 25, time TBD.

 Age 12:
  • Birth Year = Sept - Dec 2010 & Jan - Aug 2011
  • All 12 yrs olds must attend Majors evaluations.
  • Majors: All 12-year olds will be placed in Majors.
  • Evaluations will be held March 25, time TBD.

2023 Baseball Winter Fundamentals Clinic

For players baseball age 7-9 who are registered with Simsbury Little League
 
Learn the mechanics of throwing, fielding, and pitching
 
When: Saturdays February 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th 
11:30-12:25 PM 

Where: CT Titans Academy
29 Kripes Rd c, East Granby, CT 06026
 
Cost: $100 includes all 4 dates. NO REFUNDS or discounts.
 
What to bring: Sneakers (no cleats), glove, hat, water bottle
*No bats or catchers gear needed for first session but possibly will be used for later dates
 
*20 max participants - after 20, players will be waitlisted and notified of any openings. If there are single Saturdays available players will be notified.
 
**The facility has limited space and there is no viewing area for parents inside. We ask that parents drop off and pick up promptly at start/end times.

2023 Baseball Winter Advanced Pitching Clinic

Advanced Pitching Clinic
 
For players baseball age 10-12 who are registered with Simsbury Little League
 
Each player will come out of these clinics with a better understanding of pitching mechanics, arm health, and drills to use this season and beyond.
·         Proper form for delivering a baseball to a target
·         Keys to developing velocity while promoting arm health
·         Drills to promote athletic, powerful pitching movement and create mechanics for pitching success.
 
 
When: Saturdays February 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th 
Time Slot 1: 12:30-1:25 PM
Time Slot 2: 1:30-2:25 PM

2023 Baseball Winter Advanced Catchers Clinic

Advanced Catchers Clinic
 
For players baseball age 10-12 who are registered with Simsbury Little League
 
Learn the detailed mechanics and drills to develop catching skills for a great 2023 season. Clinics will include:
  • Instruction on the fundamentals of catching
  • Receiving, blocking, throwing, stances, footwork, catching foul pop ups, fielding the bunt, and framing
  • Signs, controlling the game, being a leader
  • Catching live bullpens and from machine

When: Saturdays February 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th 
Time slot 1: 12:30-1:25 PM
Time slot 2: 1:30-2:25 PM

2023 Softball Winter Pitching Clinics


Location: Squadron Line School Gymnasium
Dates: February 3rd - February 24th
Time: Minors - 6:30-7:30 / Majors/Juniors - 7:30-8:30

Clinics will be conducted by SHS and SLL coaches with assistance from Simsbury High School softball team members. SHS varsity pitcher, Mikaela Martinez, will be providing pitching instruction.

Through the pitching clinics, the girls will work on developing sound pitching mechanics, learn from innovative drills, and receive excellent pitching instruction and advice from SHS varsity coaches and players.

You are required to bring someone to catch for your pitcher. It would be helpful if this person is a parent or someone who will be practicing with the pitcher outside of the clinics. Homework and drills will be given to practice during the week. Parents are encouraged to take video and take notes.
