LAST YEAR’S EXAMPLE
Last year COVID shut us down around the 2nd week of March and we reopened at Suwanee Sports Academy on May 13th I believe. The way we handled it then was we continued to deposit the tuition checks for March, April, and May (during COIVD) and then extended credit. 95% of our customers trained with that credit in May, June, & July. It was actually a lot of fun. The remaining 5% were mainly graduating seniors & people who are using their credit this year. We gave everyone a 12 month window to use that credit. To be honest, I was kind of shocked how virtually everyone just took the credit and we went through 150 kids over the summer.
Since we are not a traditional “club” and go 12 months a year, there always seems to be a need to train. In April, people want to train for school ball tryouts. In July they want to train for pre- season school ball. October we see kids preparing for club tryouts. Seniors then tend to train in December & January in an effort to get recruited. We also have around 25 college kids that train all summer to prepare for their fall season.
TUITION VS DROP IN (YOUR COMFORT LEVEL)
In order to offer the current bulk rates for our tuition based programs, we will have the following COVID policies in place. If you are uncomfortable with this policy you may switch over to the $45/night pay-as-you-go (space permitting) and not commit to the 7-month tuition program. Tuition players will receive first priority on spots available in the gym.
If you have already registered for one of the tuition based programs and are uncomfortable with this policy we will release you from your commitment. You may pay-as-you-go (space permitting)
COVID FINANCIAL POLICIES
Shut down of training within a current month (partial month)
*1 week shut down: no effect, we just take the week off. We schedule breaks periodically throughout the season regardless of COVID, this will be one of them.
*Extends 2-3 weeks: We extend into June (or you get credit within a 12 month period)
Shut down continue into the following months (full month)
*Extends into the following 2 months (total of the partial month and then 2 full months, like last year): we continue to cash tuition checks and extend season to June, July, August or credit that time to your account over next 12 months (any 3 months of your choosing) NOTE: if the shut-down is at the start of the month then we only cash the next tuition checks.
EXAMPLE #1: So if they announce a shut down for the March on say February 28th, then March and April gets deposited, May gets destroyed.
EXAMPLE #2: They announce a shut down on February 15th, we have already deposited February, we will then deposit March & April. May gets destroyed.
*Season is suspended after that.
Graduated Seniors will be dealt with individually based on their time frame for leaving for college.
CLUB TEAM MEMBERS
*Training ($150/month) + Tournaments (additional $25/month to $100/month)
Even though your tuition is one payment, it’s actually $150/month for training and an additional $25 to $100 more a month, based on the programs, for tournaments.
What if we keep training sessions going but miss some tournaments if COVID cancels them?
So if we continue training but tournaments get cancelled your tuition checks will be used towards training. So if we cash a $250 check while we are training, but some tournaments are cancelled (that check credits you with 1.5 months of training). So if we end up just training you’ll have tuition checks at the end (say April or May) that would NOT get cashed. In other words, if we continue training, but miss some tournaments, the tuition stops whenever you hit $1,050

VPN Elite Teams
*$150/month for Training for 7 months is $1,050.
*$100/month for Club Tournaments is $700 or $116/tournament.
NOTE: Tournament money will be refunded when the events send back the refund checks.

CVC Teams
*$150/month for Training ($1,050)
*$25/month for Tournaments ($175 or $35/tournament)
*The $25 registration fee is non refundable
*Uniform package is non refundable
Training-Only
*$150/month for Training ($1,050)
*The $50 registration fee is non refundable
TEAM FLEXIBILITY POLICY
In order to join the tuition or "bulk rate" programs, especially the travel teams, you will need to be flexible in terms of practice locations, changing tournament dates, etc. if COVID becomes a major issue again. We may have to move practices anywhere from Suwanee to Gainesville like we did this summer. We may have to switch nights but that didn't really seem to be much a problem getting the same nights.
